Caren Morningstar
Caren Morningstar is a gifted and wise spiritual teacher who brings love, gentleness, Divine Presence and unconditional acceptance to her students. She is passionately committed to her own personal evolution and absolutely delights in helping her students and clients come into greater alignment with their own True Selves.

Yoga has been a continual love of Caren's since 1977 when she began to study. Mother of four precious children, all now adults, Caren has been teaching for 23 years and brings years of Meditation, Reiki, Polarity, Co-Counseling and Aura Soma Color Therapeutics to her practice. She is transported herself by leading guided visualizations and has professionally recorded several visualizations to help listeners to relax and heal. She has taught adults and teens in many and varied locations on Boston's North Shore.

Caren has found her teaching style has become gentler and quieter over the years. You might describe her approach as a "meditation in motion", a Kripalu-inspired style. She will encourage you, as she guides you in quieting your mind, to listen to the still small voice within, to trust it, knowing all of your answers lie within the stillness of your own being. Caren repeats "Do it your way. It doesn't matter that you follow me. I want you to trust yourself, to be guided by the wisdom of your own body...that is what really matters."

Caren brings grace and humility into her classroom, communicates at the soul level, witnessing and honoring The Light in each being. With students' permission, she gently lays hands on each student during the final segment of class, the deep relaxation, to assist them in letting go. Many students have told her that receiving her healing touch is their favorite part of the class. Caren sings angelically as she plays one of her crystal singing bowls at the end of the relaxation period.

Caren is a Reiki Master Teacher who has trained many students in the ancient art of Reiki. She also has extensive training in Polarity Therapy. Caren received a B.A. in Sociology from Boston University.

Sarah Oliver
Yoga found Sarah Oliver back in 2004 when training for triathlons had begun to cause wear and tear injuries on a consistent basis.  As a collegiate athlete, elite triathlete and USA Triathlon and Cycling certified coach, she recognized the need to have balance in the mind so that the body could be strong.  Once she landed on a yoga mat, she quickly learned to fully appreciate the mind, body and soul connection that only yoga seemed to be able to provide.  In 2008, she received her 500 Hour Yoga Alliance certification through Sunstone Yoga in Dallas, TX and has been teaching and continually learning ever since.

With a B.S. in Health Promotion, encouraging and enabling others to live a healthy, balanced lifestyle is what Sarah is truly passionate about.  Recognizing that healthy habits for the mind and body begin at an early age, Sarah decided to further pursue training focusing on early childhood development.  In 2011, she became certified as an Itsy Bitsy Yoga Facilitator.  As a mother herself, she hopes her classes will strengthen the strong bond between parent and child, and encourage individuals to be active from an early age.

Sarah’s classes place an emphasis on strength, alignment, focus and breath.  Her ultimate goal for each class is to enable students to take their practice out into the world beyond their mats.  She encourages her students to try different styles of yoga, so that they can enjoy the organic experience that this wonderful ancient practice has and will continue to provide for centuries to come.

  Kendra Raymond
As a former advertising/interactive marketing executive and mother of 2 young children, Kendra fully understands the importance of restoring and relaxing through yoga.

She discovered the benefits of a regular practice in 1999. After enjoying many years practicing in Iyengar’s style of yoga, Kendra began trying others, including Baptiste, Pranavayu, ashtanga and Kripalu, at various studios on the North Shore. She credits a daily practice for giving her the ability to manage the day-to-day stress that comes with being a working mom to grade school age children and generally feel more centered.

In 2009 Kendra took her practice to the next level by entering
YogaSpirit Studios’ teacher training program. This comprehensive 14 month certification process included an in depth study of the anatomy of poses, various alternatives and modifications for different body types, ailments and injuries, as well as a deep appreciation for the spiritual and healing aspects of yoga. It is with this training that she approaches her instruction. Yoga allows Kendra to renew her body and mind so that she can approach life with energy and passion. She hopes to bring each of her students the strength and peace she has found in yoga.

  Karen Vitale
Karen Vitale has enjoyed practicing Pilates for four years and was challenged with the thought of becoming a Stott Pilates Instructor.  After completion of the Stott Pilates Intensive Mat-Plus course, she has now been teaching Stott Pilates for over a year.  She is trained in teaching Stott Pilates Essential, Intermediate and Prop classes with the five basic principles as the building blocks for her.  She earned a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from Salem State College and have been a Registered Nurse at Beverly Hospital for the last seventeen years.  She finds her Nursing knowledge and Pilates knowledge compliment one another as she practices her two careers.  As a client, she enjoy practicing yoga and has found a harmonious connection between practicing yoga and Stott Pilates.

  Barbara Younger
For Barbara mediation came before meditation. She is an attorney whose service focuses on family mediation. But nothing has inspired her more than her achievement as a registered yoga teacher. Barbara has been a yoga practitioner for more than 10 years. She received her 200 hour certificate in 2005 from Yogaspirit Studios, and continues to take workshops to expand her experience. She encourages students to challenge the stereotype of “yoga as pretzel”. Instead, she emphasizes spinal alignment by stretching and focusing on daily body awareness. Barbara’s calm manner is perfect for the gentle yoga she teaches. She insists that yoga is fun and improves your game—tennis, golf and yes, even bridge. Yoga inspires flexibility of body, mind and spirit. Come to Rusty Hinges and challenge your flexibility.
