PRENATAL YOGA w/ Marnie Memmolo
Mondays 5:45 - 6:45 PM or Saturdays 10 - 11 AM (on-going series)
A class specifically designed to support mother and baby throughout the changes of her pregnancy.  It is a safe and effective way for women to care for themselves during pregnancy and prepare for childbirth.  In this class you will gently stretch and strengthen your body, increasing your energy and vitatlity through mindful movement and yoga postures.  You will also cultivate your capacity to breathe freely, release tension and relax deeply.  This class is designed to help women develop trust in themselves and in their ability to give birth.  Come and enjoy the company and support of other pregnant women while you nurture yourself and relationship with your baby!  4 week session fee = $75.  For discounted pricing on extended series and class dates, visit the Class Fees page.  Pre-registration required by contacting marnie_mysnyk@hotmail.com

YOGA BEGINNINGS CLINIC FOR THE ABSOLUTE BEGINNER
Sundays 10:15 - 11:45 AM ~ 4 week series (March 1, 8, 15 & 22)
Create a foundation for your yoga practice. Whether yoga is new to you or you are coming back to yoga, this is your series! All students will learn many common yoga postures, in a safe, nurturing space, focusing on proper body alignment and breathing. We’ll also discuss yogic philosophy and investigate breath practices. You will be exposed to a variety of styles of yoga so you will be informed when choosing a path to continue your practice. QUITE MINDS DURING STRESSFUL TIMES: INTRODUCTION TO
PRANAYAMA AS MEDITATION w/ Marnie Memmolo
Friday, March 13th ~ 6:30 - 8:00 PM
Prana means breath, respiration, life, vitality, wind, energy and strength.  It also connotes the soul as opposed to the body.  Ayama means length, expansion, stretching or restraint.  Pranayama thus connotes extention of breath and its control.  Pranayama is thus the science of the breath and can be used to increase awareness, thought, memory and endurance, control emotions, reduce blood pressure, calm and purify the nervous system.  This workshop will pair light asana  (yoga postures) with various breathing exercises such as Diaphramatic Breathing, Ujjayi, Nadi Sodhana, and Viloma Pranayama to exercises to relax the body leaving it refreshed and focus the mind as it becomes clear and lucid.  This all level class is ideal for beginners as well as intermediate students looking to advance their practice on a more subtle level.  Register early and save!!!  Class fee = $17 if paid in full by 3/8 or $20 after 3/15.  Pre-registration required by contacting marnie_mysnyk@hotmail.com

SPRING SUN SALUTE w/ Liz Rogers

On March 20, first day of Spring, salute the sun! Sun Salutations open tight places, open the heart, and get your blood pumping. Crawl out from hibernation and start spring off right! Explore several different Sun Salutations, some standing postures, and twists. Finish with a long, restorative savasana. INTRO TO TAI CHI w/ Johanna Hattendorf

Tai Chi is good for people of all ages and physical conditions.  It challenges the brain, increases balance, enhances immune functioning, and is just as good for your heart as brisk walking.  And best of all—anyone can do it!  This introduction to the slow, gentle, healing movements of Tai Chi is open to anyone of any skill level.  If you have ever wondered about Tai Chi, but been nervous to try it, or have tried it before, you are welcome to come and see what the buzz is all about.  Register early and save!!!!  Class fee = $20 if paid in full by 3/15 or $25 after 3/15.  Pre-registration required by contacting johattendorf@verizon.net

INTRO TO STREET WISE SELF-DEFENSE w/ Johanna Hattendorf
Sunday, March 22nd ~ 1:00 - 4:00 PM
Think self defense is about punching and kicking?  Think again. While you WILL learn some simple physical skills that anyone can do, this class is not a martial arts class, nor will you learn to kick or punch.  The real value of this course is the introduction to the 5 principles of safety and how to put those into practice everyday—not just when confronted with a stranger who means you harm.  Register early and save!!!!  Class fee = $40 if paid in full by 3/15 or $45 after 3/15.  Pre-registration required by contacting johattendorf@verizon.net

YOGA OASIS w/ Eileen Erni
Friday, March 27th ~ 6:30 - 8:00 PM
In this specialty workshop, prepare to relax deeply from the stress of life with gentle restorative yoga, mindful breathing and meditation.  With the use of sandbags, bolsters essential oils and chilled lavender eye pillows prepare to pamper the body, release residual tension, and restore natural balance and harmony.  Eileen will guide you through a gentle but specific set of postures used to help unblock energy centers or "chakras" leaving you feeling more revitalized and centered.  Open to all levels.  Register early and save!!!
