PRENATAL YOGA w/ Marnie Memmolo Mondays 5:45 - 6:45 PM or Saturdays 10 - 11 AM (on-going series) A class specifically designed to support mother and baby throughout the changes of her pregnancy. It is a safe and effective way for women to care for themselves during pregnancy and prepare for childbirth. In this class you will gently stretch and strengthen your body, increasing your energy and vitatlity through mindful movement and yoga postures. You will also cultivate your capacity to breathe freely, release tension and relax deeply. This class is designed to help women develop trust in themselves and in their ability to give birth. Come and enjoy the company and support of other pregnant women while you nurture yourself and relationship with your baby! 4 week session fee = $75. QUIET MINDS DURING STRESSFUL TIMES: INTRODUCTION TO
PRANAYAMA AS MEDITATION w/ Marnie Memmolo

Prana means breath, respiration, life, vitality, wind, energy and strength. It also connotes the soul as opposed to the body. Ayama means length, expansion, stretching or restraint. Pranayama thus connotes extention of breath and its control. Pranayama is thus the science of the breath and can be used to increase awareness, thought, memory and endurance, control emotions, reduce blood pressure, calm and purify the nervous system. This workshop will pair light asana (yoga postures) with various breathing exercises such as Diaphramatic Breathing, Ujjayi, Nadi Sodhana, and Viloma Pranayama to exercises to relax the body leaving it refreshed and focus the mind as it becomes clear and lucid. This all level class is ideal for beginners as well as intermediate students looking to advance their practice on a more subtle level. Register early and save!!! YOGA OASIS w/ Eileen Erni Friday, April 24th ~ 6:30 - 8:10 PM In this specialty workshop, prepare to relax deeply from the stress of life with gentle restorative yoga, mindful breathing and meditation. Eileen will guide you through a gentle but specific set of postures used to help trigger the Parasympathetic nervous system. The "PNS" is responsible for balancing the body and bringing its response system back into equilibrium. Stimulating the PNS helps to lower heart rate,blood pressure, it helps to healthily stimulate the immune system. With the use of bolsters, blocks, essential oils and chilled lavender eye pillows, prepare to pamper the body, release residual tension , and restore natural balance and harmony. Strengthening and protecting the eyes not only helps with reading and seeing, but enhances memory as well as relaxes tension in the face and neck. In this 3 hour workshop, certified Purna Yoga instructor, Ross Berkwich will present a synthesis of various techniques from many cultures to enhance vision, improve memory and relax stress in the eyes. Ross will share practical exercises from Classical Indian (Ayurveda) Medicine, the Chinese system of sight improvement with Chi release, The Bates Methond, Purna Yoga meditation techniques and nutritional support in this very popular workshop. This workshop will teach you how to regenerate the eyes, thereby improving vision that was previously poor. It is alwo beneficial for people with good vision as a preventative measure to maintain good vision for life. Join us, learn a daily routine to regenerate vision and see what you've been missing!
