Private one-on-one instruction enables clients to increase body awareness, therapeutically relieve chronic pain, prevent injury, and increase mobility by tailoring a practice session uniquely designed for the individual’s body type, health history and lifestyle. Evaluation techniques and recommendations are specific to the individual’s needs and level of yogic practice. Lessons will be a process of learning and discovering for both client and instructor to progressively refine one’s practice. Clients often discover that patterns of habitual physical and/or emotional tension are often linked to ways of thinking and being in daily life. Other benefits may include: deep relaxation, greater mental clarity, relief of stiff muscles and tight joints, and improved stress management skills leading to enhanced self-esteem and contentment. In addition, it allows students that may suffer from chronic injuries or physical limitations such as rotator cuff injuries, chronic back pain, scoliosis, carpel tunnel, etc. to work therapeutically to find key postures and modifications to restore the body to optimum health.
Initial Consultation with Posture Analysis - 90 minutes ~ $105.00
Comprehensive health history and lifestyle review. Instructor and client will discuss day-to- day physical activities, current or past exercise, sports and or athletic activities to define patterns and physical conditions and establish goals based upon this information.
- Comprehensive Posture Analysis – provides a baseline of client’s muscular imbalances, range of motion; and limitations, which will determine choice of exercises and postures specifically for each client.
- Discuss basic principles of alignment and begin to develop exercises designed specifically for client.
- Question & answer, options for future sessions, homework assignment of take home exercises.
Follow up sessions – $95 (90 min) / $80 (60 min) ~ 6+ sessions inquire with instructor for discount.
- Review, refinement and progression of homework assigned postures, sequences and take home exercises.
- More in-depth question & answer communication and client feedback of experience.
- Review of basic principles of alignment and client specific exercises.
- Adjust program, adding new goals, poses, and actions where applicable.
- Continue to evaluate progress, develop, enhance and refine client wellness program.
Future follow up sessions are strongly recommended after completion of an initial consultation, but can be done without a prior initial posture analysis consultation.
Private wellness instruction at North Shore Yoga is a great opportunity for clients to fit Yoga or Pilates into their busy schedule on their terms, as well as encourage students that might otherwise feel more comfortable working one on one versus a group setting. Private instruction can also help you reach deeper into your established practice, stretching your mind and your body to new limits.

At the North Shore Yoga studio, a home, or another venue, enjoy a customized yoga party. Customized parties and private yoga parties include Adult & Kids Birthday Parties, Bridal and Batchelorett Parties, Athletic Team Training, Girl Scout or Cub Scout Troops, or Corporate Team Building. We supply the instructor, mats, props, and music.

When classes are not in session, our studio is available for rent. It is an ideal spot for yoga workshops, support group meetings, book clubs. The possibilities are endless.
The rental fee is $45 - 95 per hour depending on day and time used.
